The logic is simple. Star wars is now for regressives, which are our natural enemies. Every time we get upset and make a YouTube video or cry about Star wars on social media, the regressives view it as a good thing which makes Disney think they're doing something right. If we all just collectively dropped the franchise, there would be no more pushback and regressives would eventually lose interest, forcing Disney to change their direction or at the very least, halting the franchise all together and selling it off to another entity.

I feel so bad for the hardcore fans of Star Wars and Star Trek because they really are fanatics and can't help themselves, to a degree. They grew up loving something, maybe it was one of their few joys in life, were bullied, but could enjoy these franchises, find a community maybe even. Same with other geek fandoms. And then they get it taken away. Sometimes it really is a lifeline. I agree, got to let it cool off. Don't see it in theatres, buy used DVDs for awhile, if at all. but not enough people will stop watching for them to stop, unfortunately. It's sad, Star Wars I remember being good as a kid.

Already stopped. Haven't watched any of the movies. Haven't bought any games or merch. Don't need 'em.

It's quite clear that Disney hates the people who have been giving Lucasfilm money for the past several decades, so why bother?

Star wars is stupid. The acting sucks and the themes are all hijacked. I have never understood the phenomenon. Oh god, the shitty fucking acting…fails to suspend disbelief.
