I've always pondered about over-socialization created by social media platforms. Moderators have real power over things in their immediate space and of course in a heavily digital-only social future that might mean the hyper accelerated socializing on the Internet would create weird, sort of, hyper sensitive people. Unlike gamers, they're not using the Internet to setup a match or Role Play. They're using the Internet for petty BS that will get them noticed.
Do these people care about racists or the discriminated? No. If they cared, they'd be out helping people and not fighting wars against strawmen. All they understand is that its okay to attack, hurt, vilify, kill and discriminate against those that can be called racist for any arbitrary reason. From what we know about History, dehumanization tactics can be used to disguise malice intent in the pursuit of power. For Anti-Racists, they sure use Racist methods to discriminate.
Racist is just a bullseye your allowed to paint on the minority in social politics.
Conservatives generally do not rally for social politics - Trump was a outlier there; generally Conservatives rally to preserve the status quo; they are the pull force on the middle of the spectrum - just as the progressives are the push. Conservatives generally try to make established values something to be protected by pulling them into the conservative movement; Progressives push things out of the middle into conservatism to get rid of it and associate it with the conservatives (this is in the USA btw) usually this results in some aspects of the middle having to choose which side to run to. The conservatives generally act out against progressives less so then the other way around (at the moment) so many in the middle would rather have the conservatives as enemies because they know nothing will ever happen to them; overtime they generally repeat the progressive dogma to remain in the club - eventually they either prove their purity to a point that they are now ideologically compromised and would not be accepted by the conservatives; or the run to the conservatives when the progressives turn on them.
