Question in the title. Since it seems like reddit is comitting sudoku, and multiple subs have gotten banned, are there any other oasis' like the two I mentioned? I'm curious as to what forums I can browse.

Looks like there's a GavinMcinnes, ConsumeProduct (one of today's ban victims) and OmegaCanada (which is the /r/MetaCanada community). I am not aware of who else has made the leap, though I was told there are quite a few more in the process of getting themselves set up.
What did r/consumerproducts do?
Mock leftism.
I used it a lot and as far as I can tell, nothing. They were a quickly growing sub who made fun of consumer society and big brands pandering to people.
Remember that the bans were spurred by multi-million dollar advertisers threatening to pull ads if sites like Reddit, Facebook, etc don't ban who they want. These companies definitely don't want people encouraging you to be critical of big brands.
Shitting on their pandering must be the ultimate corporate sin. To be fair, it must be surprising to see how many people eat that shit up. I wouldn't want anyone with a brain wandering in and fucking with my herd of unthinking consoomers either.
Probably posted the “dear [insert minority here], on this [day/month] that is special to you, we want you to know that we care about you. That is why we are adding your [flag/symbol] to our social media accounts and websites. Sincerely, [major brand]” meme and that was considered hateful.
