Saying that the resources of the United States would be better spent elsewhere that on the wall, and backing it up? Sure.

One is a rational discussion; the other is an attempt to prevent rational discussion.
Or to put it another way: Freedom of Speech - like all freedoms - persists only to the point where it would otherwise curtail other's Freedom of Speech.
You might read this, if you're interested in continuing this as opposed to just attempting to shut down discussion.
Freedom of speech isn't limited by your definition of rational discussion. If mods actually care about freedom of speech, they wouldn't censor criticism.
I'm not going to read a ten chapter splurging blog. If you can't consolidate it, it's probably not worth suggesting to others.

I have no issues with someone holding discussion - regardless of if I consider it rational.
I have every issue with someone actively trying to prevent rational discussion.
This is superficially similar to the point you appear to be arguing against, but is not the same thing.
Who decides if someone is holding discussion or trying to prevent it? Often legitimate discussion is labeled gaslighting or trolling. Do you really trust mods to be able to discern the difference?

Glad to see the two sites share login stuff. While I'll dance on the grave of the mass-forum sites, I don't really want to go back to the days of having to have 20 separate accounts for every topic you want to have a forum for.
The way the win sites operate is brilliant.
KiA and T_D were the two most socially significant subs I followed on Reddit. I won't be on their site nearly as much anymore, especially if KiA does get banned.
We're going to build a wall and we're going to make Reddit pay for it.
