I have no doubt the messages were delivered to her inbox, but I'm also fairly certain this was agenda driven and those accounts are sock puppets. You don't go crying crocodile tears to your twitter fans when someone sends you a death threat, you notify the authorities, or ignore it if it's not credible.
All throughout however, I can't help but wonder, whether or not the people within the industry and beyond rallying by her are complicit or duped, this is some attempt by Neil Druckmann and co. to make TLOU2 immune from any criticism.

If all it takes to defuse criticism of a shitty game is anonymous death threats, then I wouldn't be surprised at all if devs started sending those death threats to themselves for the free pity shield.
Honestly, though, I think getting death threats on the internet is pretty much the norm. Most people just ignore them because they're all empty threats.
