Rules, rules are what will help prevent that.

As we are working on the CSS they will be populating as soon as we can.

Thanks man, i just wanted to show how much i appreciate the mod team for fighting to keep our freedom of speech. And i know that you guys will not let this devolve into the fucking hell that was Voat

I'll burn this place to the ground before I let it go that way.

And it will be my pleasure to do so.

So if you see me with a stick and some marshmallows you know what's coming.

I appreciate that dude. Cause we really, really, really need there to be a Reddit alternative. What you guys are doing is remarkable. And I just don't wanna see it happen again. One look at Gab or Voat and it's just a disaster. I want you guys to be a success. Reddit is turning into Disney World.

Shadist 8 points ago +9 / -1

Disney world but the only ride is It's A Small World and once you're on it you can't get off.

But from the mods we appreciate the support, thank you.

(and yeah, I had a voat account and watched what it turned into, fucking no thank you)

I'd say each community has it's own rules. KiA could be more restrictive than reddit if it wanted to. On TD they "deport" lol, people not following the rules. It also seems that if a troll comes on and starts making the environment awful they delete their comments. I think as long as people realize who their group is they can moderate it well. I wouldn't bother worrying about what other wins are doing, there's really no point since it is a free country.

B-VOLLEYBALL-READY 6 points ago +7 / -1

Indeed. KiA has never been a racist/nazi sub, whatever the SJWs may have claimed.

There certainly should be room on the internet for a place where people should be free to to say whatever they want, within the realms of 1A, but moderation is needed sometimes, if only to keep on topic.

Shadist 5 points ago +6 / -1

I agree.

But if I'm being painfully honest with those we stand against I doubt our room is ever going to be "free to say whatever someone wants".

Hence R1

Rules are what made reddit the cancer it is today, so ...

Transparent rules and fair and equal enforcement of them, on the other hand. And as few of them as possible of course.

At this point we are looking at something around 8.
