This. It’s always death threats. I get that their are mentally ill people but this always seems so convenient.
I really do prefer to trust people are telling the truth about something this serious, but with the way things have been going... I am not so willing to trust anyone anymore.
As much as I don’t like the Zuck, I am glad that at least some major companies are not backing down fully to mob rule. I still dislike Facebook and it’s issues but I wish more companies and people wouldn’t back down. Granted cancel culture sucks and I understand a lot of folks are scared to lose their jobs, or in some situations, their families/gf’s losing their jobs too. This has all just gone way too far.
That was the eye opener for me. There was a charity set up as an attempt to be nice and be heard. A big push on their forums and then the statement that it was art and that we were entitled shits. I’ve never seen a company or person representing a company make such a horrible comment towards the very people that buy their games. (At the time)
The Dragon Age team had an apology sent out about DA2, but the team at ME? Oh no no listen her you entitled shits, that games ending was a master piece of modern art. Go back to your moms basements and shut the hell up and buy our games.

They should just come out and say it. At this point they can say it and would only be cheered on with the current social landscape. White people will not be protected from hate, period.
