As big tech works on creating an alternative to English have they considered coming up with an alternative to any other languages or is it just English they hate?
It's ridiculous because a lot of these are used because they're useful terms. A slave server literally belongs to and is controlled by the master server; we can't just throw out language because the things we do to machines are bad to do to people.
It's all explained all in Chapter 4 of the novel 1984, iirc, where one of the characters describes the watering down of English into a new language called Newspeak as a method of control so that it becomes impossible to have the words to express anything that is contrary to the will of the state.
This is happening at other big tech companies as well. Friend at Google told me their their team spent their last fix-it (the one week per quarter to clean up the codebase) renaming variables, files and job-names so they don't include the newly banned words anymore.
Clowns doing what clowns do. Luckily the english language doesn't have gender grammatical rules for most words, the inclusive language can be really far more stupid and repetitive than what you are seeing.
good luck getting the language to change. they can mandate what ever they want, but unless they want to hire people to scrape through every line of code to remove the words its simply not going to happen. Actual engineers are stubborn as fuck, they use what they know works and only what works.
Its easy to change the mind of some designer who entire career is based around what looks nice to the popular crowd, but they simply arent going to change the basement dwellers behind the scenes with something like this.
Thank god for the rebelliousness of the human spirit. Young people have a rebellious streak and love going against the rules. I don’t foresee leftist brainwashing being effective longterm on young people.

That's a great way to introduce bugs.
Why grandfathered?
It implies male and they hate males
Oh. Of course. The very mention of men makes "women in STEM" recoil in horror.
Women in stem. You had me for a second.
"y'all"
Every. SINGLE. Time.
Anyone who puts an apostrophe in yall is a commie perpetrating cultural-appropriate against The South!
Fuck that noise, I'm going to put these "banned" terms in my code wherever I can fit them.
All this insanity is just making me want to do the things they don't want me doing.

Sounds double-plus-good to me.

This is coming to an HR department near you.
Who knows, 1-2 generations of woke education could change it.

I don't know what's more retarded: this, or the whole "rename the master bedroom" thing from a few years ago (that's apparently coming back now).
WE DID IT! RACISM IS NO MORE! - Twitter
Wow, just wow.
Newspeak
MFW "dummy" is now offensive and has to be censored.
Technically it refers to a mute person, but I haven't heard or seen it used to mean that even once in my entire fucking life.
Whew. Gonna have to sanity check that list make sure they didn't miss any, guys.
