Which is also kinda messed up. You think it would be using the next-gen build because, duh, a PC well-spec'd could probably be on par/beat the PS5 and XSX. But, hey, Take Two needs those PC whales early. The funny part is Stadia will be current-gen as well, making all those Google server blades, touted last year by them as more powerful than the PS4 Pro and Xbone X combined, weak compared to Microsoft's black box and Sony's router.
It would be nice, but he already apologized on Twitter about an hour before EVO dropped him. So, yeah, no sympathy from me.
Best response to the apology, though.
For context, a lot of shit has happened over the course of a few days. While the competitive Smash Bros community has to deal with allegations of sexual misconduct/abuse among its top players, the FGC at large has to deal with the organizer of the scene's biggest tournament and his own misdeeds involving a minor. And on the eve of EVO's first weekend as an online-only event.
EDIT: Never mind whole thing’s cancelled. Also, new guy running it is co-founder/Riot Games employee Tony Cannon.
I'm actually more annoyed/surprised that you have to spend $100 on the Kobe version to get previous-gen/next-gen copy (pending on if you spent the money for the Xbone Kobe or XSX Kobe). Then again, this is the same company that gave us the 2K19 MyTeam casino. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FwN4VYzD02g
And the allegations continue. Not just against Cinnpie, but to various members of the competitive Smash community and the FGC. I'm trying to follow thru and reading the stuff on Event Hubs, r/kappa, and r/smashbros. And, already, we are now seeing the community respond back. SoCal-based 2GG has banned Cinnpie and 5 others from all their future events. https://archive.is/I7ZDg
If it means I get actual, physical copies of the larger-sized games that either partially requires a download (XCOM2, for example) or is just a download code in a box (looking at you, MK11 Aftermath), I would pay $70 since the higher price will technically offset the cost of the larger size cartridge. Knowing my luck and monkey's paw, it will be $70 for just a box with a download code. I'm just surprised that 2K21, even though I wouldn't get it regardless, is $60 for PC, Switch, and [chuckles] Stadia.
I only tried modern VR once. It was at a Microsoft Store a few years ago, and they had a Vive hooked up. I played a little bit of The Lab's archery game, and thought it was okay and neat. It was even comfortable with my glasses on. However, I do not see myself buying VR, either as an investment (full PC setup) or as an impulse buy. It never was something I saw as "OMG MUST HAVE".
