Are you going to roll out the revised rules all at once, or update the ones you're done working on first?
Considering first impressions and all that, the latter approach might have some merit.
Accountability in this context means that doing things the author doesn't like has bad consequences. So it's entirely consistent with what you said, just insane.
They perhaps weren't expecting the lolis. I'm not sure if I should be glad or disappointed they never seemed to stumble upon the guro.
Thank god for the language barrier I guess.
That makes sense. Yeah, things like this would otherwise be liable to drown out the other content. I'm glad to hear you're working on that.
Unless it's a Japanese instance of Mastodon.
Where would something like https://archive.md/srook land regarding the posting guidelines? It's probably not suited for its own thread considering there's not much to discuss about the specific case. But I do think there may be value in having some place to gather instances like these. Major public figure who also writes for a large newspaper going off the deep end seems relevant to SocJus, if for no other reason than having something available to show to people on the fence or who think it's not that bad. If it's someone they personally look up to, that might have an effect.
That sounds good. As far as the sticky goes, can you edit the titles of threads here? If so, having a revision number in the title could help until you have the rest set up. If not, might be a good idea to suggest that to the .win admins, considering how that was a problem at times on reddit.
