While metaphorically that may be true (or rather from a personal perspective) I used the word disguise as a literal word (again could not think of a better word to us) my logic being that transitioning takes effort and requires external forces/application to present yourself to observers as being in a state that you would not be without intervention.

Can you think of perhaps a better word to describe it? I find Transition isn't really accurate either; because your not really "transitioning" into the other sex -women do not grow a actual penis; men do not grow a uterus (yes we can argue there are dickless men and barren women; but society accepts that that is a actual deformity - not the expected) but just calling a trangendered person a "women" seems wrong - so to does calling them a "trans" so I am trying to think of how to deffine the process rather then the end-state of it.

Technically the only thing we are all transitioning into is fertilizer.

Its weird because for the longest time I never really interacted with people who were gay (I just really never encountered many) after high school - the one gay guy I knew in high school was in dance class with me (we had a dressing room for just the two of us - it was awesome) and he was nothing like what I feel Pride sort of stamps as "gay pride" - then I moved to the major city and saw a Pride parade in action and was a bit gob-smacked.

And I agree - you should be entirely permitted to engage in public shows of affections within the same boundaries of every other orientation without repercussion; I mean long as your being reasonable about it - which I kind of think pride parades really aren't and think that is where that whole straight pride troll comes from.

Racist is just a bullseye your allowed to paint on the minority in social politics.

Conservatives generally do not rally for social politics - Trump was a outlier there; generally Conservatives rally to preserve the status quo; they are the pull force on the middle of the spectrum - just as the progressives are the push. Conservatives generally try to make established values something to be protected by pulling them into the conservative movement; Progressives push things out of the middle into conservatism to get rid of it and associate it with the conservatives (this is in the USA btw) usually this results in some aspects of the middle having to choose which side to run to. The conservatives generally act out against progressives less so then the other way around (at the moment) so many in the middle would rather have the conservatives as enemies because they know nothing will ever happen to them; overtime they generally repeat the progressive dogma to remain in the club - eventually they either prove their purity to a point that they are now ideologically compromised and would not be accepted by the conservatives; or the run to the conservatives when the progressives turn on them.

To be fair - the amount of psychological damage accrued by that person is likely staggering.

They are a prime reason why I actually oppose humoring many of the progressive positions...this person needs therapy to get them back to "normal" - this is a person who keeps getting acceptance for the multitude of derangement their shattered life has created and turned them frankly into something outright creepy.

Apologies to any trans-folks out there - I cannot imagine being trans is "fun" anymore then I could imagine being constantly hounded with self-doubt could be "fun" and while I may disagree with the approach of transitioning; I do not disagree that you are suffering and honestly wish there was another way. I do not hate you folks - but I do not see putting on a elaborate disguise as a effective way to address the problem. (ok again I used the word disguise and I am sure some trans might get pissed - but that is the only real effective word I can think of to describe how I percieve what your doing when you "transition")

I'm all for it personally - I find more and more reddit is becoming a sinkhole.

I am fine with folks using mean words and would rather they be allowed to do so rather then constantly walking the razors edge due to the ever present looming threat that "everything we say will be used against us" by the reddit admin - forcing us to slowly keep moving the rules bar more and more to the SJW standard.

Honestly - the more effort there is to remain as part of the community the likehood you'll get less trolling and more actual quality posting.

To be honest (and this is not meant to anger homosexuals) but why is it that every pride parade has folks being pulled on leashes or in bondage gear - is that seriously things that define gay pride? I mean I thought people wanted the government out of their bedroom; but then they try to bring their bedroom into the public square and frankly - it does seem kind of like just general degeneracy to make a public display like that. I mean I am fine with folks having their kinks - but I think there is a time and a place for it...and limits of course (sorry pedos)

Guess reddit can continue to get fucked eh?

sucks that its come to this but the masses are getting thirsty for the blood of the impure.

And yeah chick with a Dick is a pretty accurate description of Polly.

Remember its not about principle - its about winning.

Iratus - Wrath of the Necromancer

After that it will be Vigil : The Longest Night - which looks like it will be kind of awesome as I loved Blood borne

Yeah - they basically want to homogenize their playerbase so nothing interesting ever happens.

I mean its easy to kick people from your game.

Interesting - did not know that was a thing

I forget - wasn't 4 the one with the Fire-bringer? I think 3 was the one with the Sun Rune

I was torn on this - I loved Suikoden; but at times it got too expansive which made it great and daunting...

I disliked 3 (I think) but the 5 (punishment) was one of my fav's for the storytelling.

It actually was similar to a conversation I had with my sister recently. So I favor my mothers side. My skin is a darker dusky hue, my hair is raven black. My sister is almost pale and has bright red hair. She and I were recently talking about cultural appropriation and as every racial group is claiming things are "theirs" she asked me "So as a white person what is 'mine' that other races are not allowed to use?" after she had recently been blasted at work for doing her hair in dreds.

Honestly...it seems the Smithsonian is trying to claim certain things are white; a insane list. There is also a issue on that vein that she and I were chatting about - she pointed out if we "send everyone to where they belong" according to inter-sectionalism; then I would remain in North America and she would be shipped back to Europe.

It would be a insane proposition but it really seems like folks are proposing that is the only alternative to guilt driven slavery.

Unless you ask the people in Europe...because last I heard the Europeans still get blamed for everything there too.

To be fair - that is probably not appropriate in the context of talking about the Avengers.

I would expect the same response if someone said "Jesus saves" when talking about the Avengers - despite the fact that Steve Rogers is likely Christian. If the discussion was "Is Kamala Khan a practicing Muslim" then that statement with a preface of being proof would be fine - but just throwing that statement out without any context would like not be appropriate for the discussion.

Again the context of your statement matters.

I am not crazy about the Ryzen chips (I deal with AMD chips with laptops a lot) so my PC builds tend to be intel (plus I had a good support experience with Intel regarding Sky-lake architecture).

This may sound funny - but have you tried the PC building Sim on Steam?

One thing to note also that is really important is when you get a Mobo for it - make sure to consider how the board handles M.2 slots - some boards use the PCI-E lane for the M.2 slot meaning that you lose a PCI-E lane if you use the M.2

I actually participated - I remember getting Tyranid Attack as a teenager and having a blast.

Klaus73 3 points ago +3 / -0

Yup,

Looks like Racists doing racist things - the best part is that it starts by changing definitions. This is EXACTLY why the whole "words = violence" thing was a mistake.

Once you can control speech by associating danger to something interpreted; the next step was to start changing definitions.

Once you change definitions you can then start creating exemptions.

Once you made exemptions you made the rules irrelevant.

I understand the idea that a threat (I am going to kill X) is not cool - but when people started stripping away context for convenience we headed down this uncomfortable road.

2020 is going to be the Start of the Dark Ages 2.0

Its not suprising - remember these people lack any real creativity - so naturally all their characters are just self-inserts.

Its the limits of the programming - we don't want the NPCs to become self aware otherwise they could not be relied upon to perform their assigned tasks in the utopia comrade.

I recall playing Orcs vs Humans.

Blizzard became a holo-shell of itself as it tried to copy the act of its parent company. Frankly the general attitude of its games has become what seems to be somewhat preachy to me.

Totally fair take - your personal experiences are your own. I mean people often jump to conclusions based on what they perceive to be peoples "tribes" these days,
